Richard Müller: The Man behind the November Revolution
Richard Müller. The Man behind the November Revolution is the title of the
seventh volume of the hardcover book series History of Communism and Leftist
Socialism, edited by Berlin-based Dietz publishers. But who was Richard
Müller? Never heard of him? Today widely unknown, Müller was the leader of
the so-called Revolutionary Shop Stewards in the early twentieth century in
Germany. “From 1916 to 1921, Müller was without any doubt among the
politically most influential personalities in the German labor movement” (216).

Las formas de conducción de las guerras están cambiando. Al lado de los ejércitos estatales surgen cada vez más compañías militares privadas (CMP)[1], compañías de seguridad privadas (CSP), paramilitares, Señores de la Guerra, ejércitos privados y mercenarios como nuevos actores de guerra. Actualmente, las guerras se llevan a cabo con menor frecuencia entre Estados nacionales, y con mayor frecuencia en el interior de éstos entre tropas regulares e irregulares y, en todos los casos, contra la población civil.

Venezuela’s solidarity economy
The essay appraises and analyzes different organizational efforts of the Bolivarian government in Venezuela to achieve a democratization of property and management of means of production. The different approaches adopted since 2000 (first a strengthening of cooperatives, then the creation of Social production companies [EPS] and finally the Socialist Enterprises as well as the concept of endogenous development, normative orientation of production organization, and state job training) are described and critically analyzed.
